Richard Bridger is COO of UnderTheDoormat Group – an award-winning luxury short-term rental company.

Richard joined UnderTheDoormat Group in 2017 after a career in research, analytics, and public affairs at Populus and Centrica.

He oversees UnderTheDoormat’s technology arm, Hospiria, a proprietary and highly scalable SaaS platform for property companies, agents, and portfolio owners looking to grow in short-term accommodation.

This is done through marketing and distribution support on 40+ platforms, helping to acquire high-quality guests, and assisting the growth of portfolios. Property Managers can remain independent but get the support they need whilst achieving higher occupancy rates with no fixed costs.

In addition, Richard leads TrustedStays – the world’s first industry platform that enables home accommodation providers to sell to Governments and Corporates. All homes are accredited by Quality in Tourism and of high quality. Property partners are able to gain access to longer, commercial bookings, on a no booking, no fee basis. The perfect way to diversify revenue. TrustedStays evolved out of the successful “Homes for NHS”; initiative providing free accommodation to NHS staff during the pandemic, and is powered by the Short Term Accommodation Association.

Richard has also represented UnderTheDoormat on the radio and the BBC Breakfast Sofa. Not forgetting that he was a panelist at the VRMA in 2020 discussing revenue management strategies and he is a part of the Homes and Villas by Marriott International advisory board.
